Lawrence specializes in governance, risk, and compliance at the intersection of financial services and emerging technology. Lawrence has 20+ years of experience in financial services, including more than a decade in senior governance leadership roles building and scaling fintechs—from the first U.S. neobank Simple, to early SMB-focused fintech Azlo, to a fintech aggregator connecting crypto to fiat on-ramps. She built and ran a successful bank-fintech partnership program at a community bank from 2022-2025.

Currently at Themis, Lawrence supports the industry through software that acts as an operating system for regulated teams. A Board Member of the Technology Association of Oregon, Dana founded and leads its Fintech Community to increase collaboration across the industry. A frequent global speaker, Dana has trained 100,000+ professionals worldwide and is passionate about demystifying digital assets and emerging technology risk to help institutions innovate responsibly while building trust and resilience.
